Let's Do This...

Just recently I moved to DC and have been exploring all that DC has to offer but my list of what I want to do/see here, including theatres, events, activities, bars, restaurants, etc, continues to expand. So I thought I would make a commitment to do at least one thing on my list per week. Truthfully most weeks will involve more than one thing being crossed off of my list but it is more that I am committing to posting here at least once a week. I will give reviews, opinions, possibly a funny story here or there and advice of things not to be missed here in the Virginia, Maryland, DC area. I have already attended the Stuart/Colbert rally; camped outdoors in Front Royal, VA; drank at the wineries of Middleburg; explored the Air & Space Museum; indulged in Oyster Happy Hour at Old Ebbit Grill (at least twice); seen three shows at the Kennedy Center; tried a variety of beers at Galaxy Hut; fell in love with the red panda at the National Zoo and the like. Many of those places I am sure I will go to again or possibly I will share a little recap along the way. Some new items on my list include visiting all Smithsonian museums; tubing in Harper’s Ferry; eating at Ray’s Hell Burger (been to Ray’s the Steaks twice now but not the burger joint across the street from my apartment); taking pole dancing and cake decorating classes; driving to Charlottesville, VA; attending a Capital’s game etc. Also, I would love to have anyone join in on the fun. If you don’t live here—come visit! And, if you do—let me know what you would want to partake in with me! There are so many museums, restaurants, bars, events, outdoor activities and more that I have yet to explore. To pull a quote from Sam Seaborn/Rob Lowe from the West Wing “this country is populated with unbalanced people, many of whom find their way to Washington, as if the continent funnels them into this one spot.” Let’s do this…
